Welcome

Welcome to Leeton U3A, (University of the Third Age), where those of us in the third age of life share our knowledge and experience with our peers who are similarly committed to life long learning. The “university” in our title refers to the school of life where seniors have honed skills, developed interests and gained experiences over the years and is a fast growing adult education movement. Prior educational qualifications are not necessary and there are no exams or assessments.

Members enjoy learning about our community and the wider world while making new friends and having a great time. If you are over 50 and retired or semi retired and take an active interest in life, U3A may be for you.  We meet weekly on Tuesday, with breaks consistent with school holidays and we meet in the Dining Room at the Yanco Agricultural Institute. Sessions are quite diverse, drawing on our members and community members, giving one-off presentations about all manner of achievements, careers and particular skills. Our sessions are interspersed with visits to local establishments where we learn more of what is happening around the area.

The cost of membership is low, currently $25 per person with a half year option available. Tuesday sessions are $2 which includes morning tea. Members are kept informed of the programme via various means and will always be contacted of any changes.
