Leeton – Wiradjuri country
Leeton, located in southwestern NSW, was purpose built as part of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation Scheme. Beginning as sections for development of the township and surrounding agricultural plots, Leeton, “the heart of the MIA”, is now a centre for all forms of agricultural endeavours and has developed into a vibrant, multicultural, and prosperous community of almost 12,000 people.
There is much to do and see in the area and stepping into the historic Leeton Visitors Centre will inform you of its many attractions.
